Yes i know ,but it's cheap so I got one just in case. I can fit it run the car if it doesn't stall I'll know .

Hello ,i thought I had fixed the issue , since replacing the fuel cap the car has done about 200 mile with no issues last night it stalled again ,I called the Rac but by the time he arrived it had started again .He scanned the car and all the old faults were there ,he erased them and scanned again and all the faults were gone and no faults showing.I replaced the battery and month ago and he said doing that could have something to do with the old faults showing and could be causing the issue ,since he reset the ecu it got me home and to work this morning.He did say it could be the lambda sensor .Who knows ? I don't.

If it stops again:

(a) immediately take the filler cap off and see if there's a load of suction behind it. (Or indeed, pressure).
(b) as soon as the cap is off, try to restart it and see if it restarts.
