Slim Heat panel heaters, any good?

These any good? How much do they cost to run?

I'm thinking of ways to heat my shed, when I'm down there doing 'stuff'

I have an oil filled rad but it eats electricity. I had a look at the fireball gas bottle types but don't like the idea of creating sawdust in the same room as one of them.

I have a small* shed, ALL the air will be near it

If the shed is insulated then it will be enough to bring it to a comfortable environment for woodworking i.e not too warm/cold.

You don't want to consider those space heaters as they create large amounts of moisture in the air which isn't good for machine tables/finishing/timber.

To work out how much they cost find a recent 'leccy bill and find the price per kWh. The 200w heater uses 0.2kWh when run continuously for 1 hour. 1 kWh if run for 5 hours etc. The 400 watter uses 0.4kWh and 2kWh respectively.

Incredible heat output

If it is 200 watts of electricity IN then it is 200 watts of heat OUT

Nothing incrediable about that.

I find the best for me is a radiant "infra red" heater. 150 watt reflector bulb pointed at the place I am working together with thick socks on my feet.
