Hi there,

After searching through various posts I still can't seem to decide if I should be worried about some cracks in newly applied plaster.

We had the old plaster removed due to penetrative damp (should be fixed!) and then new plaster put back on. After about 2 weeks a crack appear and then about 4 weeks after that, another fine one.

Is this normal for new plaster or not? Any guidance would be welcome.

Thanks
Stephen

Do the cracks run in different directions? crazy paving style?

Hi,

They are 3 roughly parallel cracks, all more or less horiztonal. I will try and attach a picture tonight.

Cheers

How close together are they?.....four feet?......they could be the joints in the board
