My Smeg built-in dishwasher made a very loud bang about 6 months ago, and threw the fuse in the consumer unit. It was under warranty, the engineer called but could find no fault - it ran through a complete cycle no problem.
Last night it did the same thing again. I checked there were no blockages etc. tonight before switching it on again, and after about 5 minutes - BANG - I was standing next to it and it was so loud it hurt my ear drums! Horrible electrical smell emanating from the machine, water inside but no more than normal.
Any ideas what it could be please?
