Smeg Oven Fan

The oven recirculating fan in my Smeg oven was squealing loudly. I removed the fan and ran the motor without it and it was still squealing. I removed the motor and the bearings seemed ok but I bought a replacement Smeg motor assuming that it must be the cause of the noise. Fitted the new motor this morning and its still squealing loudly. Fan isn't fitted. Does anyone have any idea what the squealing could be as I am at a complete loss?

It's the motor that sits behind the rear heating element.

Thanks pto. Iv'e just checked and there's a small diameter horizontal fan feeding the vents on the top of the oven. Haven't taken it out yet but looks like it may be the culprit.
