Hi guys me and the wife moved into our home about 3 months ago, previous owner old lady so it had that old person smell, anyway we noticed that the smell never went. I ripped out the old carpets and the underlay felt slightly damp and absolutely stunk, whatever the smell was had embedded into the chipboard subfloor and the whole house just stinks of whatever this smell is, it's chipboard flooring and has seen better days. So my question is anybody had experience with this should I replace the subfloors or will it eventually air out on it own? As far as i'm aware they didn't have any pets but there are a few stains any help with this please
