Tenant called to say the WC / loo was smelling of drains.
Called in and yes could smell it.
Thought the multi quick was leaking/disturbed so took whole thing out and changed it, resealed, new cone washer between cistern /WC and still smelling.

Old wooden toilet seat, rusted on and not good, changed that, still smelling.

Took up laminate flooring around base and cleaned up any spill. Still smelling.

Opened high level window to check outside drain cover not overflowing and then disturbed plant pot on window board (healthy plant growing in it) and the smell of rotten eggs was horrendous. It was brimming with stagnant water. Threw outside, smell gone! All day I was fart arsing about with this ....................
