Thanks to everyone for your help-problem solved.By the way Gaz a friend of mine has just phoned me who has spoken to a most helpfull technical guy at Dicon - a Mr Martin Ling who said the CB300 relay base and pattress was the item to use, this is the route I will take.
This is a great site with people who will help those less knowledgable without taking the p--s . Thanks again.
