Snooker.

How are the Semi finals going? Ive not watched any today.

I enjoy the snooker however I've lost access to a fair few tournaments due to the EuroSport TNT thing. So I'll now be limited to whatever BBC and ITV show.

One thing that annoys me is no baulk end cameras. And if I had my way, I'd watch the high majority of the game on the overhead if we were allowed to select our preferred camera angle. As with games like tennis, I get bored of the default camera angle and with snooker, the overhead is better for judging if one ball will pass another etc.

Oh and for goodness sake, get into the 21st century with the ball replacement fiasco. Neil Faulds has commented on this before.

I don't think I could watch from above.

What do you mean about ball replacement, what could they do better?

Snapshot taken from above prior to each shot.

If foul committed that requires ball replacement, ref should have tablet where overlay can be shown, thus enabling ref to quickly and accurately replace all the balls.

I think some of the Chinese tournaments have a better system, don't ask me what it is though.

As for camera angles, I appreciate some venues create restrictions. However in this day and age we need different angles. Some tournaments are starting to do it.

Used to love watching the live snooker back when I had the time to. Too busy with work these days and don't have a normal telly anymore either.
I'll have a look and see if any of its on YouTube.
Has a chinaman won the world championship yet?

No Ding junhui got to the final a few times, could happen this year...maybe.

Shaun Murphy was talking about it last night after Hearn interview was shown. He was quite diplomatic as you'd expect from Murphy, however he did point out that whilst venues like the Crucible in the UK might sell out for x days/nights, would larger venues in other countries achieve the same? We can all guess where he was referring to.

As others have touched on, money talks. I think it would be as real shame if the World Championship moves from the UK, however I wouldn't be surprised if it does.
