A few of you mentioned using lead to form a saddle under the first Valley tile in another thread of mine.

For a closed Valley with plain valley tiles, and a 90 deg internal corner at the bottom of the valley.
Should the lead sit on top of the two first row eaves tiles that are mitred at the internal corner and the edges of the lead upturned to fit round the sides and back of the first Valley tile then trmmed?

Also does it need any type of mechanical fixing?

on top of eaves, extended along the eave tile past each side of the valley tile you can fold it over the top of the eaves. then drop your valley in..
bond rules apply

Do not bend it up the side of the first valley tile, you would have gained nothing

Is that in top of the eaves itself?
ie at the same level as where the eaves protector tray would sit then folded over the top of the eaves tiles to support itself

Fit your eaves. Lay the lead on top of the eaves . Bend top of lead over top of eaves, that will stop it slipping out. Lay valley on top of lead. Tile as one normally would
