Soakers or cover flashing?

Hello All,

I'm replacing the roof covering on a bay window. The current one is sheet lead and is beginning to tear in places. I've got a load of clay peg tiles that I'm going to use instead as they match the rest of the house.

Do I need to use a cover flashing where the tiles meet the house or do I use soakers with a step flashing? Is it simply a case of which ever looks best?

Both will work although step is the norm, and it is you who will have to live with it, remember 35 degree's min for plain tiles.
