Someone suggested writing to consumer direct.

As an aside, does anyone know in consumer law where I would stand if I got the SS buyer to return my model to Argos for a refund on the grounds that it can no longer be used for the purpose for which it was intended??

AFAIK tesco still do the bottles.

However I'd be onto trading stds & getting it returned under the sale of goods act.
