I have an existing porch light which is controlled by a switch in the hall, I wish to change the light and because the porch is recessed to fit a PIR on the corner of the house but still retain the ability to operate the light via the hall switch when we go outside or go out in the car. I also need the light to go out and go back on to PIR mode once we have left the drive. Is this possible? If it is, is there any chance of a circuit? :?

You could change your exusting switch to be a modular one and add an extra gang.

You could then fit a momentary Switch to break the supply to the pir.
This should then turn the light on for the timed period.

It's what I have done. But you need to check the pir instructions to see what it does on a short supply interupt. Some turn the light on permeantly
