Hi. First post so be gentle please.

I'm embarking on a restoration project and I'm starting with the drains. Part of the underground soil pipe to the septic tank has collapsed and needs replacement. Does the section I'm replacing need a witnessed pressure test, and do I need to get Building Control involved at all?

Sorry if its been asked/answered before. I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

As it`s a repair you don`t need a test - and it couldn`t be done if it`s in the middle of a drain run - you`d have to test the lot , and the old stuff would probably leak
