Hi,
I'm replacing my downstairs toilet. In the corner of the toilet I have a soil vent pipe coming up the wall by about 1m with a cap on the end. I am not 100% sure but I think when the extension was built the builders tapped into the main soil vent pipe which is located elsewhere.
As part of the remodel I plan to plumb in my sink/dishwasher and washing waste into this toilet.
My worry is the added waste products may start to cause a pong in the internal soil pipe. Could this happen?
A solution I was thinking of would be to extend the internal soil pipe to the ceiling then then take it outside to vent.
Any views suggestions please?
