Hi, I've attached a pic of my current set up, the vertical terracotta pipe is to be cut back and a black soil pipe to be ran straight up , just wondering what happens to the t connector when I lose the old soil pipe, can it just be blanked off?

The junction is buried under the ground so there is only 2 of the 3 openings to see, can i just blank off the unused end when that pipework is removed
