i am the 2nd terrace along and i am replacing the soil from the toilet to the underground clay pipe.

without trying to describe the connectivity problems i want to connect the plastic soil directly to the clay and bypass the vent and remove it (old cast iron).

is it correct that you can remove the vent if the adjoining properties have soil vents?

also next door (end terrace) there is a vent in about 8" cast iron...what is this as it appears as if this house also has its own normal sized soil vent too.

any help will be very much appreciated.

regards
dave

Consult your local BCO, you'll want a vent.

Will require inspection if altering.
