I have damaged the end of a piece of copper pipe inside my combi boiler that joins the primary to the secondary heat exchanger. Originally the pipes connecting these were held together with a retaining clip but due to the deformation of the one end this would lead to a massive leak. Can i just solder these together or will the solder not take as there is a fair gap between them(approx 3mm)?
Any ideas would be welcome?
