Some radiators work...some not so much.

First up, you guys have so far seen me through two broken boilers and a broken washing machine. This is, I reckon, one of the most valuable resources on the internet. Well, certainly the most valuable resource about fixing boilers on the internet anyway.

Potterton Lynx2 combi.

Last week the pressure was low (the light came on) and I topped her up to around 1.1 bar.

Anyway, in the seven days since then I seem to have strange developments:

The 2 furthest radiators from the boiler aren't warming. (which, ironically, are the ones in the living room and bedroom.)

The ignition sequence goes fine with hot water but is intermittent for heating. Sometimes when the timer says on, I get no flame, no demand, only a grumbling noise from the boiler. (The same grumbling noise it makes when there is flame/demand, just without the burner noise.

It's cold tonight in manchester.

Anyone got any suggestions.?

I know it's an obvious answer, but have you bled them? Mine were like that for a while, and I thought 'it couldn't need bleeding, I did that only... err... a year ago'!

And hey presto, all radiators now radiate equally :)

Yeah, they're bled. Wait. Hang on. By "bled" I've always meant "Stick the key in, give it a bit of a turn and ensure that water not air comes ****ing out."

If that's bled then they're bled. :)
