something is eating my daffodil petals!

Hello

My daffodil petals are being eating. The leaves are ok but just the flowers themselves seem to have been targetted.

Does anyone know what might be doing this, and if so, what I might do to save the rest?

I would be very grateful for any advice.

Slugs, mice or birds.

As it is only the petals though I would say not slugs. When do they get eaten? if at night probably mice, if in the day probably birds.

I think it's probably at night, but I'm not sure. I will try and discover!

Could the mice climb the stems without bending them? I don't know much about mice. We have shrews around too - and slow worms ....
