sony dslr a300 camera LCD screen

SO the camera must have taken a knock. The screen fluid/liquid has spilt through and the LCD is now dead.
Can I buy an lcd screen like this from ebay and fit it to solve the problem(obviously I'm not sure how easy or difficult it will be to fit it)?

Or will I need the actual LCD part and casing?

My Camera has the 'Sony Version' LCD screen. Very difficult to find the replacement part, especially for a reasonable price. If I fit the AUO Version of the LCD, will it work at all? Some of the AUO versions have backlights included now anyway.
