Sound Insulation & Sound Test

I have joists of 10" depth separating two layers of plaster boards and wooden floor boards. I am required to produce a sound test certificate after completion of work, previously I did succeed by adding another suspended ceiling but this time round I don't have any space to loose, I wonder if any one could advice me on a sound insulation system either using material from DIY stores or "cost effective" specialist material.

Any advice will be appreciated.
