Our friends have to move home, and their current house block will be demolished. As a going-away surprise we would like to paint their garden white (wild plants, grass, sand, wooden fence).

I was thinking of putting a chalk and water mixture in a anti-insect sprayer, maybe add some wallpaper-glue to make it sticky. It has to be sprayable and hold out for a couple of days. Does anybody have any experience with this?

I guess this is more about painting than about gardening... I'm just looking for a cheap paint that can be sprayed (has very low viscosity), preferably something home-made.

It's supposed to look like the snowy backyard they never got ;)
