Hi,
I am changing the layout of my en-suite and I need to make a few small changes to the pipe work to accommodate this.

I currently have copper pipes going into two 22mm compression isolation valves for the bath taps. Once isolated what speedfit connection can I use to continue with the pipework?

Is it best to use a small amount of copper piping from the valve and then join this to a JG Speedfit coupler?
I do not think I would be confident with plastic going straight into the isolation valves

Any advice please?

thanks in advance

You can put speedfit into compression couplings, but you must use the appropriate inserts in the pipe.

I would also recommend you use copper olives too.

Thanks Kidgreen61,

So does this sound right?

1.Isolate Valve
2. Loosen bolt and remove copper pipe and tap connectors. Remove bath etc.
3. Insert 22mm speedfit pipe with a copper olive. I assume do not over tighten or use tape
4. Continue connection with speedfit kit...

Thanks again in advance

Personally, I would use a small piece of 22mm copper then a straight pusfit
