I had a hot flushing toilet when i fitted a new loo downstairs. Couldn't beleive i made such a stipid mistake... 5 mins later with the blow lamp and it was back to normal.

Daft question

Unless you are in a cold house and notice the steam, how else would you know the water is hot?

I dont tend to stick my elbow in the pan to see if the water is luke-warm or not.....

I presume that you'd feel it if you sat on a toilet whose flush tank had recently filled from the hot water line.

turn the thermostat up enough and you could steam clean your bum.

My Dad deliberately ran some hot water (along with the cold) to his toilet cistern to try and stop condensation on the cistern itself. Seemed to work okay.
