Hi

I'm thinking of converting a room into 2 smaller rooms - the room is huge (about 6 x 4 meters).
I can see 'how' it could be split - but there is a bay window - to the outside .

Is there a way to 'split't he bay - into two windows.. it's on the ground floor -

Here is a plan:

Hi, Sorry for the long delay - its a pretty standard bay - there are - 3 windows.. two small ones on the side, and a large one in the middle . there are columns either side of the large one :

the windows above are obvs not in a bay - we are a semi and the bay is original tho :)

TIA

Not a Google earth picture? From your plan, you are not going to get much in either room, they both will probably end up like being two box rooms, have you considered putting the door for the right room to the right instead of straight in the front, as that would give you a clean wide corner where you could put decent bit of furniture.

As for bay window, the way you would have to do is to get a new window insert made in two sections splitting it with two seperate openings and a gap of at least the width of the party wall.
