Hi there,
I've spotted these circular patches of mould in an upstairs bathroom recently - the wall is south facing. The house is a mass concrete mid-terrace two up two down and had extensive renovation about 12 years where internal insulation board (62mm I think) was fitted throughout.
If my understanding is correct, the pattern of spots indicate a cold bridge from the fixings - the spots have only become apparent recently, possibly coinciding with a new dehumidifier that is now being used daily in the an adjoining upstairs bedroom. Upstairs isn't heated most of the time, perhaps for 30=90 mins before going to bed during the winter.
Is this common - should I just paint over them with cover stain and forget about it? Or does it indicate that some other course of action is required. Thanks in advance
