I am thinking of spraying several rooms and looking for some advice,
What’s the best DIY airless sprayer
Tip size for ceiling, walls and skirting boards
What sequence is best for painting, I was thinking skirting, walls then ceiling

If you’re going DIY with an airless, something like the smaller Graco or Wagner units are usually the go-to. They’re simple enough to clean and not overkill for a few rooms. For walls and ceilings most people use a 515 or 517 tip, and if you want cleaner lines on skirtings you can drop down to something smaller. As for the order, most decorators would say ceiling first, then walls, and leave the skirting till last. That way any overspray or drips get covered as you work down rather than messing up what you’ve already finished.

I am thinking the Graco X5 airless sprayer, what tip size would be best for skirting, my ceiling is going to be a different colour from the walls so my thinking was it’s easier to mask the walls and do the ceiling last. I was going to spray the skirting then mask off ready to spray the walls.
Maybe I am thinking of this all wrong

I only own a HVLP. It's an old Fuji. Great for 2K paints but not waterbased paints.

I'd like to hear (read) how you get on. I have long considered buying an airless but haven't been convinced that the time spent masking up is faster than rolling and cutting in.

I am guessing that you will need a lance for the ceiling.

Best of luck.
