Hi, your advice will be appreciated. Firstly a electrician is on his way to look at this and give me a quote so I just want to make sure I have some background on this. I have fitted a salamander pump in the airing cupboard and according to info on this forum the pump must have its own fused spur. There is a wall plug which runs the central heating system and a spur next to that in the airing cupboard. Could you run a spur off a spur or wire it in with the central heating supply? What possible cost could I be in for? Is this a major electrical job? Once again thanks.

What is a salamander pump? What does it do? How is it controlled?
