As part of a building extention job I've been fitting a projector in a hall. Consultant spec'd to add a FCU spur adjacent to a socket on ring final.

At first fix box fitted beside existing socket, with tubes buried in the wall to existing socket and 13A socket in false ceiling void.

Today pulled cable in then opened existing socket and before adding spur checked L & N ring continuity... It turns out the work done between 2004 & 2009 put 9 DSSOs on a 2.5mm² spur on a 6mm² 40A radial which includes kitchen and WCs with electric hand driyers.
MCB labled as socket ring.

Test certs show kitchen for first time in 99, hand dryers in 04, 9 stage sockets in 09.

Just shows how easy it would have been to 'just add it on'.
