I have just tried to turn the heat on the radiator up and the valve has come out spurting black water all over the walls and wool carpet how am I gonna get this mess out of the carpet before my wife gets home???? Anyone out there?!!!

you can sponge it off the wall.

the carpet is ruined.

buy some new valves

look up your houshold insurance policy "damage caused by escape of water from fixed apparatus"
