Hi. I'm staining some internal doors with Ronseal 5 year woodstain. It implies it's for outdoors but if it's good enough for outdoors it's good enough for indoors - but I'm wondering if I should varnish afterwards? I can apparently just recoat every 5 years, I don't know if varnish would be better?

Thanks

Most of the Ronseal stains are water based. There is no problem using it indoors. If it is varnished then it will be sealed and its difficult to apply any other type of finish later unless you just keep varnishing them.
