Anybody had any experience fitting 'starlight' 10 x 10W halogen capsule downlighter sets? Thing is, I have a customer who wants 100 of the things installing and I reckon there'll be enough heat generated to grow cacti in the bedrooms above, not to mention needing a separate lighting circuit and the fact that I just know he'll never get around to replacing the inevitable capsule casualties, thus rendering the effect somewhat less than desired.

Any comments gratefully received.

depends how small the room is, i wouldn't bother, wont give star light effect more like typical british summer day effect.

tell he wants fibre optics instead, now that DOES give a star light effect

Actually, what he wants is lots of light, which he'll certainly get. It's for his small 'beauty salon', at the back of his Middle Eastern 'jewellery' (lots of boxes of coloured glass) shop... to the side of his plaster coving shop... above which is his home, where I had a minor nightmare trying to sort out his horrible lighting last week. To complicate matters, the ceiling is already ostentatiously coved and sports a number of plaster roses mounted in odd places.

My aim is to persuade him that what he thinks he wants is impractical, too expensive and a potential fire hazard!
