Hi, I have a Baxi system 100he plus which keeps cutting out on overheat. Could any one explain what the flow stat and thermistor does. I am guessing that the stat is a safety cut out ? and the thermistor controls the boiler power relative to the water temp ?

I have accepted the fact that I need a proper boiler guy in but ask the above question purely out of interest.

Cheers.

hi the boiler thermistor controls the heating temp between 35deg C and 85 deg C the overheat stat cuts in at 95 deg c plus or minus it does sound like you might have some sort of blockage unless its a rearly faulty thermistor there are around 11k ohms when cold and decrease in value on temperture rise
