Steam Mop

Hi All,
My mother has asked me to have a look at her steam mop, she says it trips the RCD when she plugs it in. She has sent it back to the manufacturer and they returned it with no fault found.

Any idea of any tests I can do to check this? I have multimeter and megger.

If it is one of these £30 jobbies then that is probably all they did. They are absolutely crap. My guess is that there will be a small leak in the tube from the boiler to the head, but they are so fragile that you'll do more damage stripping it down. Put it down to experience & throw it in the bin & buy a mop & bucket.
