ive got a s*** load of box section so i thought id put it to use,
the base will be 3" box section 16ftx8ft frame (already made now) with 4 8f post in each corner with tabs to bolt on normal wooden framing,

the base is where im having an issue, i pulled up all the slabs i have and have a bed of sharp sand there now, i was going to put a concrete base down but its a bit out of my budget (student lol!), the ground is quite solid (theres more slabs underneath a bit of soil, not sure why)

was wandering if i could just paint up my frame and wack it down ontop of the sand (have to put more or less sand underneath to properly level it), then pave on the inside, and fill all the outer edge and inner edge with concrete,

will the sand compacted hold up or just sink as i start building the rest of the frame on top of it? i will be using this as my gym, so will be quite alot of weight in there, with a few layers of gym matting, have 1200sqft worth lol.

the other option is to weld on 12" posts on every corner and bury them and concrete them level, but my ground is hard to dig into, took me forever to dig the holes you see the pull up bar in so id rather not have to do that , that will be sawn off tomorrow.
