steering wheel vibration

Didn't mean on the move just if you vary engine speed ever so slightly.

I would have thought that if it was pump or belt related the frequency of vibration would change slightly in step.

Are you certain it is steering related and not engine vibrations being felt through steering wheel.

Remember need to ask what maybe dumb questions as readers of forums cannot try these things!

Sorry, right more extensive answer. In normal driving there is absolutely no vibration. When at a standstill there is a low frequency buzzing from the wheel. When moving off from a slow speed there is an occasional, lurch from the wheel, nothing major. Engine sounds a bit different when stationary than it did. If you rev the engine a little in neutral, the buzzing goes away.
