Hello, The Bungalow I have moved from had the toilet outlet pipe going straight into ground, no other pipes. The Bungalow I have bought ( 30 years older than the previous one) has the emptying pipe coming off back of pan and lying horizontal to the side of the Toilet. It then joins an upright pipe (stench pipe?) but the end/top of this upright pipe does not seem to go anywhere as nothing can be seen outside the property. Do you think this would be obsolete ? especially given there was no such pipe in the Bungalow I previously lived in. Perhaps Building Regs changed in that 30 year period ?
