Sterling 10 Alarm Tamper Fault

I have a sterling 10 alarm system, there was a power cut in my road today, now I can not set my alarm, when I enter the code the alarm goes off, and the word tamper is displayed on the keypad,can any one give me any advice, I have telephoned the company who fitted it but they are no longer trading
