sticking upvc to upvc, and plaster

Hi all,

As part of redecorating around a window I will have two bits of upvc trim to stick: one to bare plaster, and one bridging a gap (filled with foam) between the upvc frame on one side and bare plaster on the other. What is the best product to use in these two cases? silicone? grip-fill? something else?
