I recently repainted the woodwork on my window frames, using masking tape on the pane to prevent bleeding onto the glass. Looks nice 'n shiny and white now. However, the fact that I left the tape on the windows for several weeks afterwards, combined with the hot weather, has stuck the tape to the glass like concrete!

So far I've tried sponging with hot water and washing up liquid, sugical spirit, meths, white spirits, lighter fluid, windowlene, domestos, viakal, scrubbing with pan scourers, scraping with a palette knife. It's shifting a bit but at the current pace will take about 3 years to remove all of it.

Any suggestions? Or should I just vent my frustration and replace the glass! AL

I've told hairdryer to heat up the adhesive on the tape to remove then clean off with ' Sticky Stuff Remover'.See this.
