Stiff Door on Dishwasher

Have a Diplomat (MFI) dishwasher about 6 to 7 years old and recently the door has become quite stiff to open. Any ideas about cause or cure :?:
 
Worn hinges or wire that hooks on the side hinges snapped , be very lucky if parts are still around and cheap.
