Stop moss etc... building up on stone and render - biocide

My house is in the perpetual shade in what seems to be an abnormally rainy area.

As a result and keep getting moss and other flora build up on the most shaded parts and the lower couple of feet of the exterior walls.

I am thinking giving them a good brushing getting whatever lifeforms I can off and then spraying those sections with biocide.

Is this a good idea and if so, can anyone recommend a particular biocide?
