Stopping Frying Pan `Splatter`

This might be in the correct section,appolgies if not.
What do other members do regarding frying pan `splatter`
When frying bacon,sausage etc. ?
Been out this afternoon and bought a so called splatter guard
That honestly is neither use nor ornament.
It didn`t stop half the splattering,a paint seive would have been
More use. :confused: :confused:
Somehow these days getting a frying pan with a lid,it`s like
Looking for a needle in a haystack.
Oaky,go to say John Lewis`s and other places and they are
Starting prices from £40 upwards.

You must have bought a crap one, my missus bought the last one in the pound shop. Works a treat.

only thing that gets fried in my house now is eggs,everything is either grilled or oven cooked.

Unless he bought Linda McCartney veggie sausages,,, Which leads me to ask,,,,, Why do veggies want stuff that supposedly looks and tastes like meat anyway ? (I've never figured that one out) ;) ;) ;)

Where i used to work they served veggie sausages (leftovers to be fair) for breakfast, my god they were nice !!! and i mean really nice, better than meat sausages by quite a long way. Happy memories.
 
Funny in some ways, I come from a stout (not in the sense of fat!! read traditional) Yorkshire family, you know the one where the Sunday roast is obligatory. My mother once fed us all a veggie diet for a week, no-one noticed!!
