Stopping Frying Pan `Splatter`

your never going to completely stop cooking oil splatter when frying, but getting a decent splatter guard with a fine mesh does the job very well. Also, the type of oil you use has a lot to do with it. Cheaper veg oils splatter alot more than a good olive oil. Lard splatters the least in my experience, but most people turn their noses up at Lard now days.

Well I take some of it back fella`s.Did a real nice `fry up`
Breakfast this am much lower heat, used the splatter guard
Again, some does come thru but not as bad as on higher heat. The bacon was lovely and crisp.
A bit of practise perhaps, will also try some pure virgin
Olive oil for frying.
This `thread`has been like a cookery class, wonder if Delia Smith
Would have been interested :D

we've got a saucepan lid which fits the frying pan. Also check out Tesco, they do a good range of pans with glass lids,(not the cheapest value range) not too expensive. We have an oil fired range with a flat hotplate which needs solid flat base pans and the tesco are fine, and much cheaper than Agaluxe.
