Hi all. Can anyone tell me roughly how large (in KW) a storage heater is needed per square meter of floor space?

Also do you have any recommended brands or brands to avoid? I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum, the others didn't look quite right either!

I'm not, but I'll use it anyway! Thanks. Been reading up on BTUs and KWhs etc. but there are too many factors to consider!

Unlike wet systems with a multitude of rad sizes to choose from, the typical range of storage heaters comes in small (1Kw), medium (2Kw) and large (3 Kw) sizes. A dose of common sense will steer you in the right direction. Virtually every medium/large sized room will need a 3Kw heater. Bathrooms, halls and small bedrooms will need a 2Kw heater. I've used a 1Kw heater in a small bedroom to little effect. It took the cold edge off the room, nothing more. Dimplex is the company of choice.
