Stoves Electric Oven Cutting Out (Thermostat?)

hi all,
I've had a Stoves Q600EM Electric Oven for about 6 years and for a while it's been playing up.

it seems to function fine, get to temperature and cook food normally, but after about 20 minutes it completely cuts out and will not turn back on again for a further 10 mins or so.

I suspect that the reason it cuts out is that it is overheating and there is a fail-safe cut out. so it won't restart until it cools down.

could this be due a faulty thermostat?

any help would be most apreciated...

I would have thought faulty temp. regulator.
