The radiators in our new house need bleeding but I am not familiar with the type of bleed valve. It does not seem to have the type of bleed valve which uses a hex key.
I am loath to unscrew things without knowing what I'm doing.
Can anyone help?
I have put a photo of the valve

Just turn the screw in the centre anticlockwise a bit. The air/water will come out of the small hole in the plastic that is pointing upwards.

Make sure the whole thing does not turn, or there will be water every where. If the whole thing does move then tighten it up with a spanner first.

You can use either a flat bladed screwdriver or a normal square key on those valves. The plastic insert can be turned to face in any direction so you stand a chance of catching any water.
