Just opened a brnd new B&Q Strimmer - TRY250SGTD and the line just keeps disapearing inside within a few seconds of starting. It's the type with twin line holes and a spool with two sections. I've tried different ways of threading, tight, loose, just one line, two lines but no good. Is there a design fault ? Is this model known to be rubbish ?

(Unfortunately it is out of guarantee as it was part of a kit with lawn mower etc and I didn't open it for over a year - the lawn mower has been fine).

To be honest I have tried many difference make of electric strimmers over the years and they're all rubbish so far!!

Now have a petrol strimmer with no problem whatsoever, the line is so easy to fit in and all I do is tap the lawn if I want the line longer using what's called the bump head, the electric strimmers are not powerful enough for me

take it back get a refund and get one of these Stihl FSE41 240v Strimmer just replaced my old rubbish one and the Stihl is far better.
