hi, i'm going to buy a strimmer, probably stihl, used. What is the difference between a curved one and a straight one?. Is it, a straight one will get under the bushes better ? It's light use only, which do i need?.

The straight shaft strimmers have a solid bar drive, the curved shaft has a cable (bowden type) drive.......straight shaft machines incorporate a clutch, whereas the curved shaft may or may not have a clutch.
The straight shaft machines can also incorporate a brushcutter head if you need it, being much stronger.
Its very important to keep the angled drive head fully greased!
John :)
